ISA is committed to providing leadership opportunities for Indiana soybean farmers. Please see below for a list of our current opportunities.

Soybean Leadership College

Check back for more information about the Soybean Leadership College. The Leadership College is the “premiere” soybean leadership development programs in our industry providing today’s and tomorrow’s leaders the training needed promote the industry and effectively communicate key messages to expand U.S. soybean producer’s market opportunities and increase profitability.
Two-day training program for all soybean leaders or leaders serving (or wish to serve) in the following organizations:
  • American Soybean Association
  • United Soybean Board
  • United State Soybean Export Council
  • State QSSBs
  • State Associations
Limited scholarships are available for farmers to attend January 9-11, 2018 in St. Louis, MO. The scholarships cover program fees, hotel room and most meals for attendees. Attendees will be responsible for their own transportation costs and meals outside of the program agenda. (i.e. meals eaten in transport to and from the session). American Soybean Association/DuPont Young Leader Program


Chris Steele of Adams Co. is our Indiana's 2017/18 participant in the ASA/DuPont Young Leader program. 


The ASA/DuPont Young Leader program is a leadership training program designed for soybean growers and their spouses/significant others who are interested in developing their skills to represent the ideals of soybean growers domestically and internationally, and pursue leadership positions at the state and/or national level. The cost of airline flights, hotel rooms, ground transportation, meals, etc. for all participants and their spouses is included.  


AG Leader Source Online Training Modules

AG Leader Source is an online portal of training modules that provides soybean farmers an opportunity to continue to grow and develop their board leadership skills – no matter what board they may sit on.
  • AG Leader Source is supported by the state soybean organizations and the United Soybean Board and is funded solely with soybean checkoff dollars.
  • Any soybean farmer can participate in the training sessions.

Volunteer at the Glass Barn during the Indiana State Fair

AgrIInstitute Scholarships

ISA offers tuition scholarships to soybean farmers who are accepted into Indiana's Agriculture Leadership Program.  Farmers should contact ISA to learn more about this program.
