Biodiesel is a clean burning alternative fuel, produced from domestic, renewable resources, such as soybeans. Soy biodiesel contains no petroleum, but it can be blended at any level with petroleum diesel to create a biodiesel blend. Soy biodiesel is simple to use and biodegradable.
ISA's objective is to support the biodiesel industry in Indiana. Building demand for soy biodiesel stimulates demand for soybean oil largely from Indiana soy processing facilities. This means stronger demand for Indiana soybeans. ISA also invests dollars to increase the awareness of soy biodiesel through its mechanics training and educational Soy Biodiesel Chemistry Kit – free to Indiana teachers.
